Jacob Lowen, PsyD (he/him), is a proud Salem native who received his Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Clinical Psychology at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Dr. Lowen completed his pre-doctoral internship at Denver Health Medical Center specializing in Health Psychology, Consultation, and Behavioral Medicine in both clinic and hospital settings.

Driven by a commitment to give back to his community and serve the diverse population of Salem, Dr. Lowen returned to Oregon and completed his Pediatric Behavioral Medicine Residency at Childhood Health. His professional journey has also taken him through various outpatient mental health settings, giving him extensive experience in Mental and Behavioral Health administration and management.

Clinically, Dr. Lowen finds great fulfillment in working with patients and families from birth through young adulthood and consulting with the skilled treatment team at Childhood Health. As a parent himself, he is particularly passionate about supporting young fathers and mothers transitioning into parenthood and addressing the behavioral and mental health challenges that families may face throughout childhood and adolescence.


Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lowen enjoys time spent with his family. He enjoys watching soccer, gravel cycling, paddleboarding, experimenting with new technology, tackling DIY projects around the house, and playing with his beloved dogs, Huckleberry and Rosemary.
