Get Up To Date With Shots and Checkups Before School Opens!

In addition to making sure that your adolescents who are doing sports have an up-to-date sports physical, it’s important to get everyone’s immunizations on track as well. If you have a child entering kindergarten they should have had immunizations at age 4-5 and checkups both at age four and age five, to assure kindergarten readiness. Children in elementary school should have a checkup every other year at a minimum; yearly is preferable. There are usually no shots needed again until age 11 but check with us if you aren’t certain.

Checking on routine things like immunization records is a great use for the Patient Portal. If you haven’t set one up yet for your child, we would invite you to do so.
