Healthy school lunches

Junk foodThere is a growing movement to improve the quality and nutritious value of school lunches. Salem has seen big changes this year with the removal of soft drinks and other high sugar drinks from schools. I found this web site for Parents Against Junk Food that is creating an organized approach to this problem including lots of practical tips and recipes. A recent episode of NPR Science Friday had an excellent discussion of one community that has made big changes.
