What is a podcast?

A podcast is audio or video content that can be downloaded or watched in a web browser for FREE. They are organized so that software can subscribe to automatically download when new episodes are added.

What sofware do I need?

To watch in web browser you just need to have Adobe Flash and Apple quicktime installed which is on 97% of computers. To subscribe and download you will need to install additional software. There are many programs out there but the easiest to use is iTunes from Apple. It is a free download and is available for Apple and Windows computers. If you own an iPod than you already have it installed.

Do I need an iPod?

NO you do not need an iPod to watch or listen to podcasts. Just a computer and an internet connection is all you need to get started.

To check out our Childhood Health Podcast you can listen at our website or subscribe in iTunes here. For other content shows there a number of podcast directories out there with the biggest being the iTunes store (accessed from inside iTunes software).
