Secure Patient Portal

Secure Patient Portal is a benefit that allows secure communication between our families and our clinic using an encrypted web site. There is no cost for this service.

How do I get started?

To request an invite just tell give us an email next time you are in the office or give our office a call. Once we enter your email in our system you will get an email with link to activate your account. Each child will need an account. Registration is done in the name of the child so we accurately know which child is being discussed.

Some of the things you can accomplish with this new solution include:

  • Fill out pre-registration paperwork before you even arrive to the office
  • Request appointments with our schedulers
  • Request prescription renewals
  • Pay your bill online with the bookkeeping office
  • Ask a doctor, nurse, biller, referrals or medical records departments your questions directly, avoiding time on hold

In addition we can communicate with you via email and the portal for things like:

  • Periodic clinic newsletters
  • Other important practice or healthcare information (new changes in our practice, flu shot clinics, etc.)
  • Periodic health reminders (due for vaccines or checkups)

We recommend using this only for non urgent questions. For urgent health questions please call our office at (503) 364-2181.

How is the new service different from our prior service called My Health Online?

  • Works in all modern web browsers
  • A prompt notification message is sent whenever a new message is in the inbox (for you and us).
  • You can now pay your bill online saving you phone calls and postage.

Who can sign up?

Access is given to the same person who is in charge of the patient’s private health information. For patients less than 15 years old that would be parent or other primary caregiver.

Make sure you register your email correctly with the site so you will receive notification of new message, and any password changes you’ve made.

What if I already have an account with My Health Online?

We have not been happy with the quality of this service so we discontinued after August 1st, 2009. We encourage you to create a new account with our new service.

Why can’t I see any of my child’s health information?

The portal is primarily a secure messaging tool so if there is information you need such as timing of upcoming appointments, shot records, etc just ask us. When requesting appointments you can start to fill in your health concerns and those would be available to the nurse when you are being checked in. Ability to view information from the chart may be added a future added feature.
