H1N1 Vaccine not available for Saturday clinic (10/31)

We have not received any doses of H1N1 influenza vaccine this week and thus have no vaccine available for Saturday walk-in clinic. We are being told to expect 300 doses of injectable vaccine next week. We will post updates as soon as we have confirmed we will have vaccine for next week.

I realize there is need for information on H1N1 and the vaccine, but I’d also like to know the status of the seasonal flu vaccine. It would be helpful if you would at least mention both in these clinic updates. Is the seasonal one available even if H1N1 is not?

Excellent point. We have only small number of seasonal flu doses remaining and expect those to be used up in next 2 days. Not enough for Saturday clinic. We are expecting several hundred more doses direct from manufacturer, promised before mid-November.

Dr. If my child is on antibiotic now and off by monday, and he is better by then...is it ok to go ahead with a h1n1 mist we have scheduled that day with the county? He is on antibiotic for a cough (bronchial) azythramyacin...Thanks in adance

Unfortunately we are unable to provider specific health advice through our website. I can say, in general being on an antibiotic is not a contraindication to receiving a vaccine.
